I like to imagine the journey of life to be similar to traveling down a long road with your values at the end, with many detours on the way. I also like to think of this as the human body and what I try and teach every day. Deep within our body located on our backbone are our core muscles. These are the muscles that support our frame. Although we can’t see them they are our base of support. A strong core provides stability and balance, the greater the stability of the centre, the more powerful the muscles of the arms and legs can contract. Let’s now adapt this to your emotional strength. If you can peel down the layers of yourself and understand your core, the foundation to build your temple. This is what defines YOU!
Think about what those core abilities are. Perhaps it could be strength, determination, courage, caring, giving or being worthy. Now if we put all the layers back on, build the temple on the foundation, what we have is a solid centred stable frame.
Now create those paths to life with your values always in sight. You travel down these paths every day, things are thrown at you constantly to take you off that path, this can be in any form. It could be a work situation, an argument with a friend/mother or husband, a passing comment, any thing. If you recalibrate and use those core abilities, this in turn creates those powerful thoughts to banish the obstacle and continue your journey down your path to happiness.
Life is one experience, it is time to use your positive mental strength to enjoy the best life that is possible.
