Sound Relaxation and Guided Relaxation are other forms of Meditation. Meditation on its own in the dead space of silence can be difficult without practice. One of the goals of meditation is to clear your active mind of thought, allowing the space for your mind, body, and spirit to simply let go, relax and be.
Often when people first start out, lots of random thoughts will pop into their head as they sit or lay comfortably. Focusing on your breathing does help, but having something tangible to concentrate on such as music or spoken word can make the process far easier.
This is where Sound Relaxation and Guided Meditations come in. You choose what it is you would like to work on and focus on during a session. Topics are endless, and styles of music, sound, and speech are varied from guide to guide.
Sessions work incredibly well either in guided groups in person during workshops or by using a pre-recorded audio on CD or player in the privacy of your own home.
Meditations are tailored to fit the healing and guidance needed:
- Integrative relaxation for Pain Relief
- Integrative relaxation for Sports
- Integrative relaxation for Stress
- Travel
- Focusing on your chakras
- Love
- Health
- Creating the life you want
Meditation is a powerful tool as it connects you to your higher self and higher mind as well as the flow of the Universe. You have all the answers you are looking for, it’s just a matter of accessing them.
The effects can be felt and scientifically verified that meditation has similar effects on the body as REM sleep which allows the body to heal and rejuvenate.
Sound Relaxation and Guided Meditation sessions are available in classes held at Monarch Wellness by their guides Peggy Sealfon during her Integrative Relaxation Series Classes and William Ward’s Crystal Bowl sound concert and mediation classes.
